Now a sixth generation family business, Corsiglia began at the end of the 19th century, when Andre Corsiglia launched his own candied chestnut factory in France, after picking up the know-how in New York. Today the company remains committed to tradition, selecting the finest AOP chestnuts from Turin, as well as innovation. In 2010, for instance, a new candying process enabled the company to enhance the taste of the chestnut and to soften its sweetness by using an extremely thin sugar glaze, all while preserving the tenderness of the fruit. The chestnuts are additive- and preservative-free.
